Food and Drink
The Eels Foot Inn is an Adnams house, so we try to keep an excellent pint of Adnams ale and we usually offer at least 3 cask ales and some of them are seasonal. We also offer a good range of Adnams wines and we have Aspall Cider which is made in Suffolk. On draft we have lagers and we stock a good selection of bottled beers and an extensive range of spirits. We have a good relationship with CAMRA, the campaign for real ale.Our food has a reputation for being consistently good and there is plenty of it. We source produce locally and even use Adnams bitter to make our fish batter. The menu has a good selection of lighter starer dishes and full meals with good staples of homemade lasagne, chilli, wonderful ribeye steaks, crispy whitebait and goats cheese salad to name a few. Our local bakers make us large granary wedges, known as 'Huffers' and a fantastic pie company supplies us with very original and traditional tasty pies. Ice cream is supplied by 'Suffolk Meadow' made using cream from the Marybelle dairy not far from the pub. Fish is from Lowestoft and meat is from nearby peasenhall.
Our own chickens are excellent layers and their free range eggs are often available to buy.
